Hey guys how's it going, sorry for writting this so late but I have been pretty busy lately, anyway now that we are all back togather get ready for a rockin ride and look back into KISStory (Part 2)

Okay here we go with the next album on the list.

.

The 6th KISS Album in their huge cataloge of songs. With the massive success of their previous album, the experimental Bob Ezrin who produced Destroyer was re-hired again for this album. KISS decided to return to the heavy metal/hard rock sounds of their first four albums and there you have it another huge record sale and great album for KISS. "Rock and Roll Over" is one of Kiss' greatest records. "Calling Dr. Love," and Hard Luck Woman," are my favorite songs on this rockin album. I don't really have to much else to say about this album except that YES this is a great album and all KISS fans should this one to their collections.

Love Gun would be the last studio album for a long time that all the original members would actually play on. By this time KISS mania had overtaken the world. The merchandising was flooding the marketplace with everything from trash cans to lunchboxes to makeup kits to comic books to dolls.Although this was not the greatness album(My Opinion) songs like shock me, tomorrow and tonight, christeen sixteen and of course love gun were my favorites on this album. The album did at least included one good highlight, the first ever appearance of Ace singing lead vocals ("Shock Me"). Almost Human" is another underrated Kiss song that contains another killer guitar solo by Ace himself. The cover painting once again featured what would become their new stage clothes for the bands massive 1977 tour.

.

Atlast the one album everyone was waiting for after their huge selling and rockin first Alive album, KISS Alive 2. Kiss Alive II was a huge success for the band and was another milestone reached for KISS. It is another of my favorite live KISS albums. Like Alive, there's been quite a lot of speculation concerning extensive overdubbing. Once again, I say, so what!(If you don't like it don't buy it don't complaine to me) I'd rather hear a good recording than a weak bootleg recording. The entire live portion of the album is adrenaline-charged , and probably testosterone charged as well. Side four of the original vinyl release contained five new Kiss studio tracks. Of all the tracks, the only one to ever see the light of day again was Ace Frehley's "Rocket Ride."

.

This Album was the very first KISS album I ever owned and will always have a special place in my heart.(Tear). Double Platinum was an album collection that featured all the original versions of their hits except for "Strutter." In an attempt to entice collector's who would have already owned all these songs, Kiss recorded "Strutter '78." This new version was no where near as good as the original as it was toned down with a more disco beat. The original album came with a paper platinum record inside a silver embossed cover. The cd re-issue lost all the effects of the original packaging, until 1998 when the album was again released in digi-pack format with all the original elements of the cover art in place, including a smaller version of the platinum record. Of Course I can't tell you what my favorite song on this one is because it it a collection of many great KISS songs I love.

Okay here we go onto the famous Solo Albums of all 4 members

.
Paul's album is actually the better of the bands solo's and the most Kiss-like of the four solo albums, which should be no surprise since Stanley has always written a majority of the Kiss material.Best songs are "Tonight You Belong to Me" and "Take Me Away (Together as One)."

.

The best and most selling album of all 4 members, and actually proven by far the best, and the heaviest, of the four simultaneously released Kiss solo albums. Ace wisely chose Eddie Kramer to produce his album. The only one to have a hit single in a remake of Hello's New York Groove. Best songs on Ace's Album New York Groove which would be used in many of KISS' future shows down the road, and Rip It Out. This is just my opinion but I'm sure you guys have your own favorite's.

.

Gene's album was the biggest surprise to me but also the biggest disappointment, of the four solo albums. Simmons made sure that the top artists of the day lent a hand: Aerosmith's Joe Perry, Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen, Donna Summer, Cher, Bob Seger, Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, Helen Reddy, among others. Unfortunately, this didn't help any. Perhaps the most surprising and the most embarrassing is the cover of the Disney's "When You Wish Upon a Star," complete with Disney style music. The rest of the albums jumps from Beatles style pop to '70s funk/disco to AOR. The best part of the album is the song Radioactive but I will admit not the worst of the four either, but his solo was far from the heavy rock and roll we were all expecting and hoping for but hey what can you do. Best songs, radio active, but I do have to give credit to Gene, he actually did a great job sining when you wish apon a star even thought you would never have seen it coming, a demon singing kid's songs, but still great job.

.
Not one of peter's greatest goals but like he has said many times before he;s not a huge rock fanatic but more of a jazz/swing type person. Although he was a rock drummer in a rock band, my hats of to peter for at least trying to make a great album. I bought this album just so I could complete the collection of solo albums. Howeverit did sell millions on the KISS name alone but was still the worst selling of the four simultaneously released Kiss solo's. Best song(s) Well the only song I do like on his album is Don't you Let Me Down.

Now Back to the Group Albums

.

When Kiss turned from Rock to Disco. This is one of the reasons why a handfull of people and musicians despise kiss by going to disco leaving a huge blow on the band, but still selling millions of copies and dishing out quite a few chart hits like I was made for loving you, sure know something and 2000 man which resurfaced at the MTV unplugged show when the band reunited on stage and played togather again for the first time in years with the original line up. Despite all appearances, KISS were in turmoil during this period of time. Even though Peter Criss appears on the album cover.he did not play all the songs recorded. Session drummer Anton Fig, who had recently recorded on Ace's solo album, subbed for the ailing Catman. Rumors were that Criss had seriously hurt himself in an accident. Peter Criss, along with Stan Penridge again, did make an appearance on the song "Dirty Livin'." But it turns out that peter was just not really interested in the band anymore.

.

Rated by most KISS fans and magazines as the worst KISS album ever.Kiss was brought to new levels of embarrassment with "Unmasked," an album that is rated by most as Kiss' worst. by this time Peter Criss left the band during the recording of the album and once again session drummer Anton Fig completed the record. My favorite songs on this album are, Shandi, Two Sides of The Coin, Talk to Me and Tomorrow.
