Babies of the 90's

I was born on February 7, 1996, five minutes after midnight. It was the middle of the 90's and I had missed out on all the cool stuff from the 70's and 80's. But what most people don't know is that there were some pretty cool stuff during our childhoods in the nineties and early 2000's (or whatever you call it).
When I was three or four, I loved watching Nick JR. The show I remember most was Allegra's Window. That funny looking puppet always made me happy. I ate Handy Snacks when I watched Allegra's Window and if I was at grandma's house, I had tomato soup and grilled cheese. I hate tomatoes but the soup is good with grilled cheese. Everytime i have it, it reminds me of when I was a little kid. I also loved Blue's Clues when they had Steve. Then they got another guy because Steve went off to college. I had a Blue's Clues doll that I used to like to play in the bathtub with. It was my favorite doll. I even used to eat Blue's Clues applesauce which was blue of course and I don't think they sell it anymore.

Another thing that us 90's babies get a lot of teasing about is Barney the dinosaur. I liked Barney for about a year when I was three and before I decided I liked Blue's Clues better. Everyone made fun of Barney and my older cousin, Tyler who is two years older used to make fun of me but every little kid born in the 90's liked Barney for at least a little while. Baby Bop and BJ were cool to preschoolers. But the second and third graders always laughed at us and said "I hate you, you hate me, let's go out and kill Barney!" Most of us were very upset at the thought of killing Barney until Tv desensitivized us.
Anyways, The 90's were a very good time for some of us and I have fond memories of things that don't exist today. I would love to hear from other who have fond memories of that wonderful decade the 90s and to some who think 2000, 2001 and 2002 aren't retro, they are getting there. It is 2008 and in a couple of years it will be ten years since the 90s was over. What is new becomes retro so quickly. But we can enjoy it by reminsincing together, us Nineties babies.
