Beldar and Prymaat are an alien couple whose spaceship crashlands on Earth. After learning it may take years for them to be rescued. They are forced to live as humans and eventally have a daughter, Connie, who having been born and grew up on Earth, worries about leaving the planet and not being able to be with the boy she loves or fit in at school.
