The Tom and Jerry Show
Debut: January 01, 2014

A new generation of Tom and Jerry cartoons for a new generation of children! Like the original shorts the new cartoons (three per episode) have a few specific formats: 1. Tom and Jerry's typical antics in a modern-day urban setting. 2. Tom and Jerry being pets to two witches named Beatie and Hildie (discontinued after season two). 3. Tom and Jerry working together as detectives in Tolucaville (Los Angeles in the second season) by operating a detective agency called "The Cat and Mouse Detectives", complete with a narrator. The theme is notable for initiating an universe where all the MGM Cartoons characters (i.e. Droopy, Screwy Squirrel, McWolf, the Southern Wolf and some other notable Tex Avery characters) all live together and make frequent cameos in the episodes from season 2 onwards. 4. Jerry living in a lab with a rat companion named Napoleon with Tom being an alley cat (used only in season one). 5. Tom working as a butler in a Downton Abbey property (introduced in season three). 6. Tom and Jerry living in a scary Transylvanian environment in a parody of Van Helsing (introduced in season three).
