A troubled 12 year old boy played by the late Brad Renfro is a key witness to solving a high profile murder case. The suspect threatens to kill the boy if he confesses. Susan Sarandon in an Oscar nominated role as an attorney trying to protect the boy from the prosecutor played by Tommy Lee Jones who will use every available resource he has to get a confession and testimony out of the kid.
