Hot n Now

A burger joint I remember

Does anyone remember the restaurant Hot 'n Now, and why there are only a few locations open? (just not where you live unless it's Michigan)

Well this is an article about that, in 1984 Hot 'n Now opened up in Holt,
Michigan, about 3 years later the company began franchising activities, in 1990 it was acquired by PepsiCo, which also placed operations under the Taco Bell chain, throughout the early/mid 90's Hot 'n Now opened up several chains (when you count it all up there were about 150 locations) reaching as far as Oregon and Florida, what they became popular for was 39 cents for a hamburger, fries, and a soft drink, the fact that their food sucked and competition with McDonald's and Burger King was the reason why Hot 'n Now went out of business, in 2001, 67 locations remained open, right around 2004 the company filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy, and was sold to STEN corporation (which also owns the chain of Burgertime restaurants). It's original purpose was to be a drive thru burger joint only, however there were a couple traditional restaurants complete with seating by 2005 only 17 locations remained to this very day, yes like I said the chain still exists, but only in Michigan, and there's one location in Wisconsin.

Here's a picture of what was probably a Hot 'n Now still operating (I don't know if this location is still open or not)

and a picture of their menu from 2007.

By the way, I'm sorry I couldn't find a commercial for Hot n Now, I looked everywhere on the internet, and no luck, otherwise if I could find one I'd post it on this website. If you live in Michigan (but not near a Hot n Now location), go to Sturgis there's still one out there, how do I know you ask?, well if you go on to Youtube.com and type in Hot n Now, you'll get to see a video of these guys going to Sturgis just to go to one of the still operating Hot n Now restaurants, I don't know about anyone else, but when I was a kid, I tried Hot n Now only once and thought their food tasted like crap, I could remember being in the 8th grade and there was this kid in my classroom that like me had autism (yes I have autism so what, DON'T LEAVE CRAPPY REMARKS ABOUT IT ON HERE!!) but this kid would always say "Hey let's go to Hot n Now.", and I would respond back with "They're not around anymore dude.", I mean thank god they're not around anymore, like I said they're food tasted like crap, I mean who wants olives on their cheeseburger GROSS!!!
Hot n Now? MORE LIKE SLOPPY n NOW!!!!
