Release: June 13, 1986

Thornton Melon (Rodney Dangerfield) achieved great success without ever going to college. When his son Jason (Keith Gordon) thinks about dropping out, Thornton helps him out in an unusual manner...By going to college himself. Along the way, Thornton falls in love with one of the members of the school faculty, Dr. Diane Turner (Sally Kellerman), and joins the swim team. When his hijinks start getting him in trouble, Thornton shapes up and starts taking things seriously.
