I've noticed that ever since:
That 70's Show
Frasier
Will and Grace
Friends
Everybody loves Raymond
?Malcolm in the Middle?

ended, all the new shows I've been seeing just dont appeal to me.

After seeing Two and a Half Men, The Bill Engvall show (ICKKKKKKK), and House of Paynes, I only see shows full of cliches and song references (hous of paynes) and unappealing characters and attempts at humor.

what do you guys think?

Will and Grace was never funny.

Two and a Half Men keeps getting better, although it's still a second-rate comedy.
    Dexter is an outstanding comedy.

But, yeah...shows like 'Reaper' (go figure that I'd hate that show) try to be funny, but they're just ass.

I never got the appeal of 95% of sitcoms as a whole.

Pretty much the only good sitcom ever was that 70's show, at least they show reruns of it constantly.

Curb Your Enthusiasm is very funny, if you consider it a sitcom.

I do, because it is a "situational comedy"

I haven't watched any new sitcoms since the late 90s. I never liked shit like Will and Grace or Everybody Loves Raymond. I miss the days of sitcoms like this:

The Office is a current sitcom which I find pretty funny.

I love The Office too. I'm probably the odd man out, but I do love my Will & Grace and Two and a Half Men--but I agree, there are an awful lot of references to popular culture in a lot of sitcoms over the last few years. Sitcoms like the Cosby Show and Boy Meets World, where the shows actually focused on the development of the characters (primarily) and their trials aren't too oft seen on TV today. If you're with the times, then the references are hilarious, if not, well, you're kinda in the dark. There was a lot of that in Will & Grace. The old school charm, wit, and relationship to the characters' personalities to the audience are what make sitcoms great, in my opinion. Two and a Half Men is probably my favorite one on TV now.

My favorite sitcoms were Home Improvement (I have seasons 1 and 5 on DVD, I should get the others), the Nanny, Third Rock from the Sun, Seinfeld, Friends, that 70s Show and Malcolm in the Middle. I don't really watch much TV anymore. I'm not really intro medical drama shows, criminal law shows, or reality TV (except for Ghost Hunters). I'm curious about the Office, though. I might watch that sometime and see if that's any good.

One sitcom that I REALLY don't like is Under One Roof. That show is my least favorate sitcom to ever air on TV.
