Olympic Games
Debut: November 22, 1956

First held in 1896 and broadcast in Germany in 1936, the Olympic Games is the world's largest and most-watched mixed sporting competition. The 1956 winter games were the first broadcast live worldwide. Since then the competition has grown in size and is now broadcast in over 100 nations worldwide. The largest broadcaster in terms of revenue for the International Olympic Committee is America's NBC, so much so in fact that recent summer and winter games have scheduled in a special way to cater to them.
