Hi fellow Retro Junkies! For those who read my last article which was called Best Atari 2600 games which was about some of my most favorite Atari games of all time. This time, I will be talking about all of my retro gaming consoles that I own right now. The systems I will be talking about are the following: Atari 2600, two Nintendo Entertainment Systems, Game Boy (and a broken Game Boy.), Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Game Boy Pocket, two Nintendo 64s, Game Boy Color. (Note that most of the credit goes to my grandmother since she bought most of the systems.) We will now start off this article with the

Atari 2600



My family first got an Atari 2600 in the year 1980. I never got to experience the Atari 2600 at that time because it broke in 1990 which was when I was born, at least that is what my grandmother told me since I was too young to remember. When I got older to know what an Atari is, I began looking for an Atari 2600 and there was no luck. By late last year, my grandmother found me an Atari 2600 and you would not believe how happy I was to get an Atari 2600. It came with one controller and 15 games and it is in excellent condition. I even got all of the boxes and instruction booklets to the games and the system. My most favorite game out of the whole thing would be Donkey Kong.



The Atari version is not as good as the Nintendo version but I still like it.

Nintendo Entertainment System



We started out with two NESs and one broke in 1995 and the other one broke in 2000. In 2004, my grandmother got me an NES which came with two controllers and 6 games and all of them were not in very good condition. Three months later, my Grandmother got me another NES. It had two controllers, one zapper that did not work so well, and one game which was Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt and this NES was in a better condition than the other one but still not the greatest. Me and my grandmother went to Virginia to visit my aunt and uncle and on the way we found a store that cleans and repairs systems and games and that store is called Starland. We took our NESs there and the results: the first NES needed to be cleaned including the 6 games and the second NES needed to be repaired. Today, they are now in great condition and I have more games for them too.

Game Boy



My family got our first Game Boy in 1991. I was only a year old at the time and I had two older brothers. One interesting day in the year 1995, me and my one brother were watching cartoons while my other brother was in the bathroom playing with the Game Boy. All of a sudden, I heard a splash and then my brother comes out of the bathroom with a wet Game Boy in his hand. If you guessed that the Game Boy fell in the toilet, you would be correct LOL. The Game Boy fell in the toilet and it was dead after that. In 2006, I got another Game Boy to replace the other one and it is in very good condition. If you want to know, I still have the broken Game Boy.

Sega Genesis



My family got our Sega Genesis in Christmas of 1994. I do not have much to say about the Sega Genesis other than it acts weird sometimes. I went to get it checked at the store Starland in Virginia and they said there is nothing wrong with it. I would guess that my Sega Genesis has a mind of its own sometimes LOL.

Super Nintendo Entertainment System



My grandmother got me the SNES in 2005 for my 15th birthday. It came with two controllers even though the one controller had teeth marks on it LOL,

and 14 games and it is in great condition. I do not have much to say about the SNES other than I got more games for it and the SNES still works great.

Game Boy Pocket



My family got the Game Boy Pocket in 1997. My brothers liked the Game Boy Pocket better than the regular Game Boy but I still preferred the regular Game Boy. On August 16, 2001, I was in a terrible car accident and my Game Boy Pocket was in it. Turns out that the Game Boy Pocket had no damage but minor scratches on the screen and it works like the car accident did not even happen. If you would like to know, I suffered two broken legs, one broken thumb, two broken front teeth, tons of scars, and my jaw tends to pop out sometimes. Some people think that it hurts when my jaw pops out sometimes but it really does not hurt at all.

Nintendo 64



My grandmother got us the N64 in Christmas of 1997. We started out with two games and they were Mario Kart 64 and my all time favorite game Super Mario 64.





I remember when I was 7 years old and I could never get passed Shifting Sand Land in Super Mario 64 because of the damn quicksand LOL. Now I have no problem beating the game. The N64 was one of my favorite systems because it had most of my favorite Mario games on it. I got the second N64 along with the SNES and that was back in 2005. The second N64 came with three controllers and 12 games. That is about all I could say about my two N64s.

Game Boy Color



My family got the Game Boy Color in 1999. It was dropped a few times but for some reason it still works. The Game Boy Color is missing a battery cover which I have no idea what happened to it. I only have three games for the Game Boy Color and they are Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, Austin Powers Welcome To My Underground Lair (I honestly do not know why we have this game, it is a very weird game), and Wario land 3.







Even though I do not have a lot of games for the Game Boy Color but we have tons of games from the regular Game Boy and they work great on the Game Boy Color. (At least none of the other handhelds fell in the toilet like our first Game Boy LOL.)

Well, those are all of my retro systems that I have. I do have a Game Boy Advance, Nintendo GameCube, two Nintendo DSs, and a Nintendo Wii but in my opinion, they are not retro systems.
