G4 hosts a countdown show where viewers send in submissions via the channel's website for the top ten video games in a particular genre. After the merger with TechTV, new countdowns were added for movies, music albums, and technology. The top two entries would always come head-to-head in the "Filter Face Off". The show was cancelled on December 9, 2005 when G4 decayed into a general male-oriented channel but would be revived on June 3, 2006 where events, cars, and male culture would be added as topics. The reboot would last less than a year. Until 2012 it would continue to air as interstitial segments.
