The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas
Release: July 23, 1982

The Chicken Ranch is a whorehouse that got its' name back in The Great Depression. Back during that time, people who wanted to be with the girls paid for them with chickens, due to food being difficult to get in those days. In the place's later years, one of its' best workers was Mona Stangley (Dolly Parton). She eventually took control of the place when the original owner died. It's been doing great business for many years, but an outraged TV reporter named Melvin P. Thorpe (Dom DeLuise) is looking to shut the place down. This places Mona's love interest Sherrif Ed Earl Dodd (Burt Reynolds) in a conflict of interest, being as he loves Mona. Will he uphold the law or follow his heart? Will the ranch stay open or will it shut down? Watch this movie and find out.

Deputy Fred: "It was the nicest little whorehouse you ever saw!"
Melvin: "The power of television, of public exposure...It scares me. I swear, I could get the mayor's own children to throw rocks at him!"
Deputy Fred: "Everybody liked Ed Earl...Especially Ed Earl."
Mona: "Don't feel sorry for me. I started out poor, and I worked my way up to outcast."
Mona: "I couldn't be a ballerina now. I'm too top-heavy. I have a hard enough time balancin' these things now without gettin' on my toes!"
Mona: "Me jumpin' up and down? I'd black both my eyes!"
Mona: "Well, I always just thought if you see somebody without a smile, give 'em yours!"
Deputy Fred: "My wife read his lips on every 'Hell', 'Goddamn' and 'Shit'."
