In this sixth Arthur special, Thanksgiving has come to Elwood City. Arthur and his friends get to participate in the local Thanksgiving Day parade. Aunt Minnie Read visits the Read family to celebrate the holiday. Meanwhile, Arthur thinks his dog Pal has ran away and starts a search party. Because this special takes place chronologically before the events of The Rhythm and Roots of Arthur, Bud Compson is shown still living in Elwood City prior to the series' episode "When Duty Calls" and Arthur and D.W. meet Aunt Minnie for the first time.
