Does any game count from any system? I would say "Jungle Hunt" on the Atari 2600. It has only 3 stages and can be easily beat in 3 - 5 minutes.

Donkey Kong is also really short. The arcade version has 4 stages, while the home versions only have 3, including the NES...but I still think it takes a little longer to beat then Jungle Hunt.

^^ You're confusing the classics from modern-day adventure games.

Jungle Hunt & Donkey Kong only had so-many stages... but you didn't "win" the game, you made it onto the next round of stages, of which then got progressively harder & faster... harder & faster. Eventually near-impossible!

I think one of the shorter games out there are the Warioware games... for the Nintendo Gameboy Advance, DS, or even the Wii... if you really apply yourself, the game could be complete in hours, because they're short mini-games & most of them are fairly easy.

I remember DIE HARD for NES was really short, maybe 35 min or so, every time since the game ran on a timer.

Also, RESCUE the embassy mission was on a 15 min timer.

Star Fox 64 can be beaten in about an hour.

Well, the OP didn't specify whether the games could be from any era or just modern games only. However, you are right about the levels getting harder...at least I know they do with Donkey Kong and many other classic games. Jungle Hunt, on the other hand, didn't seem to get any harder when the levels reset...at least not on the Atari 2600 version.

But anyway...I'll list off a more recent game that's really short. Contra III on the SNES. Excellent game...but it only had 6 levels, and 2 of them were overhead view levels that were really short.

That's true: WarioWare Touched took me about 2 hours to complete and WarioWare SmoothMoves took 3 1/2. Nevertheless, they're still fun to play!
