I do remember watching The Berenstein Bears. I remember there was one episode where brother and his friends built a fort that was boys only so sister got mad.

I still don't remember the Corduroy show, but I do remember the book, as well as The Berenstein Bears Books

The only thing I really did not like was how the show enforced stereotypes of gender roles . . . dad goes to work, mom stays in the kitchen, daughter plays with dolls, boys play with "boy" toys . . . It may be picky, but I do like shows that challenge what we assume to be "normal".

I remember the cartoon from the 80's. The cartoon PBS plays sometimes is ok but not as good as it was in the 80's.
It's OK, next time I'll make you listen. I wish that it were in the power of all children to say that to their parents and to know that indeed they would be heard as we were in those wonderful days on Waltons Mountain.Narrator The Waltons (From the Runawa

I remember reading the books (I had almost the whole collection) and watching the shows (I had a tape of the "Don't talk to strangers" book)

Both were good in my opinion, but I liked the books a little more.

I liked the books better than the TV show. I remember having the one where Brother bear goes to see some scary movie that his mom said not to with some friends....He ends up having these vivid nightmares....it was great.

I don't think I have ever watched the show but I loved to read the books. In fact, I read them with my kids every night. Luckily I've saved my childhood books for my kids.

I have a ton of those books! I love the Berenstain Bears. My favorites are the Truth About Strangers and the Trouble with Grownups books. I remember renting the old episodes at Blockbusters - good times. Now I'm trying to find those old videotapes at garage sales (I already found four videotapes!). I also loved "The Berenstain Bears' Christmas Tree" which I have on videotape. The illustrations in the books are beautiful. I like the newer episodes too.

The books were amazing! My mom read them to me every night when i was little. i think i loved them so much because my older sister and i shared a room and she would always throw in sarcastic remarks and commentary along with it and i thought it was so much fun.
