Who here remembers the "Dot" movies? I know I do, but I've only seen 3 films:
Dot and the Kangaroo
Dot and Santa Claus
Dot and the Bunny

I used watch them when they were shown on the Disney Channel. I've never seen any of the one's you mentioned though. The three I always saw were:
Dot and the Whale
Dot and the Smugglers
Dot and Keeto
Dot and the Whale

Anybody else remember these films?
I think you were tapping into my brain waves. I was just thinking about this. I watched Dot and the Kangaroo when I was a half pint.
I used to watch Dot and The Kangaroo all the time. I also remember Dot and Santa Claus and Dot and Keeto.
"cochroaches nibbling in your ear...cockroaches nibbling in your eaaar"
I never really watched any of them, but I remember my younger cousin watching Dot and the Kangaroo when she was a toddler. It was her favourite movie!!!

Great movie.
I loved dot! I remember most of those being on the Disney Channel, but also borrowing them from the library. I forget which one, but she shrinks down and goes to explore the backyard, and there was footage of ants, or spiders, or something, and it always bothered me when I was a little kid. Such a girl...lol

That's Dot and Keeto. It's probably been 16 or 17 years since I last saw it.
My favourite was Around The World With Dot, because Santa Claus was in it. Yay Santa!
Dot and the Kangaroo is the most memorable one, if only for the fact that the bunyip song scared the crap outta me...

These were great movies. A mixture of animation with a live action background. Brilliant!!!!!!!

anybody know where other videos of the movies are? I really want to a video of "cochroaches nibbling in your ear...cockroaches nibbling in your eaaar" (is that the name of the song?)
I remember seeing "Dot and the Kangaroo" on HBO when I was a kid. I had no idea that there were other Dot movies.

I first discovered the character Dot through The Electric Company magazine (the September 1983 issue, to be exact) - that particular issue's focus was cartoon characters from around the world. I also remember seeing a snippet of "Dot & The Kangaroo" on the TV series "The Great Space Coaster" in late 1983. One thing that really turned me off about Dot was that despite wearing a dress in all the movies she appeared in, why was she always barefoot?
Of course, I had no problem with female characters being barefoot and wearing a dress - as long as it's brief and not frequent.
And "Dot in Space"? That sounds bizarre. Guess they wanted to have the Dot movies go out with something abnormal and bizarre.
