Magnum PI is classic. The writing was great in the last season.

I never watched either but I hear Tom Selleck is a great guy overall. There was a movie he was in that was early 90s late 80s. A cyberpunk movie that involved little robots and "smart" tracking bullets. I want to snag a copy if I ever come across one.
I think it was called Runaway. And I think it also had Gene Simmons as the bad guy.

My father really liked watching Magnum PI (always coplimented the writing) and I know he watched Rockford Files. Not sure about the other one.
