I used to watch Monster Rancher all the time in the mornings as a kid. It's a pretty cool to explore the monster rancher universe and they started off with 400 monsters compared to Pokemon's 150. The world is expansive and it's a fun anime to watch.
My favorite character is Hare. He's a genius and his favorite tactic is to get his opponents so annoyed that they lose their focus and fall into a trap.
The one episode where they explain the history of the Monster Rancher world is mind blowing and on par with many top sci-fi plots

what do you mean? :?
It was darker than both, especially with the death issue
SSJ_Jup81It was darker than both, especially with the death issue
The "death issue" was pretty intense, monsters didn't become "fainted" they straight up got killed and turned into a disk. I also read that some of the violence was cut out from the American releases.

...what the fuck is this shit? Monsters would get killed and turned into a disk? I wish this would've happened in the game, but sadly there all you get is the funeral and you bury the monster.Echidna64SSJ_Jup81It was darker than both, especially with the death issue
