How many people in this forum was a normal occasional Sesame Street viewer back in the 80s?

I for one, was one of them up into my early 20's

Me. I watched the 1993 episodes though.
I can't think of anything worth putting as a signature.

I think a more appropriate question would be, who didn't watch Sesame Street? lol

I watched it as a kid in the early 90's and I used to be a big Oscar the Grouch fan, lol. And though I stopped watching it long ago, my father and I still get a chuckle quoting Burt and Earnie.

I honestly haven't met anyone who watched Sesame Street until age 20.

Me, I stopped watching it when I was 9 and I was watching it throughout the 90s. During the last years that I was watching Sesame Street, I used to watch Elmo's World when it first came out. They would show the same episodes over and over again, but I loved it back then.

I loved Sesame Street growing up, and I'd still be watching it today if not for the stupid Elmo's World....or whatever it's called. Whe Elmo takes up the last fifteen minutes of the show is beyond me. I did catch part of an episode a while back and was happy to see Prarie Dawn. I had thought that they had gotten rid of her. I do like that middle eastern girl they have on the show now. And Maria and Luis's daughter is great to look at, too !

Watched it when I first came to the US when I was 11 for a while.

One thing always baffeled me though:
I never saw a icky factor to Burt/Ernie.

Grover, though. I was certain he was a world class poofer.

I had a Talking Farmer Ernie. When you squeezed it it sung "Old Mac Donald Had A Farm"

I loved Sesame Street back in the day, although I was more of a Lamb Chop kinda girl. My daughter LOVES Elmo, though. Whatever she's doing she always drops it to watch him. :D

I watched Sesame Street from 1984-1992. I occasionally watch some of the newer episodes; especially when they have parodies of popular shows (ex. Law & Order Special Letter Unit, 30 Rocks, Preschool Musical, A's Anatomy) I find them kind of funny.

I loved watching Sesame Street in the early and mid 90's. I was watching some new segments of SS on YouTube today and noticed it's changed a good deal now. New people, celebs and intro to the show. Are Maria and Luis still on? What about Gordon, or Bob?

I began watching Sesame Street in 1993 up until 1999 when Elmo's World was first introduced. I still watch it occasionally but the show has, at this point, hit rock bottom, because, no thanks to Al Gore and his general biassing of television to make us "go green", the show is now doing just that!
