The Misfits with Glenn Danzig were The Misfits, they were original, they were classic, that is who the Misfits were. Though the Misfits with Michale Graves were musically and vocally very good, and, in a few ways, superior to the old Misfits, they just weren't the same and they shouldn't have called themselves the Misfits. And have you ever heard Michale Graves's solo work? Ugch!! It's crap! As far as modern day Misfits influenced horror punk goes, any fan of the genre should check out a little band called Blitzkid, they are way better than Michale Graves.
this one was and still is a hard question for me.. because i like both!

Danzig. I really enjoyed his solo concept album Black Aria. I haven't heard Black Aria II yet.

Their early stuff is good. After Danzig left, I lost interest.
