If the kid enjoys things pertaining to the 90s, it makes him/her a 90s kid in my book.

What makes a 90s kid to me?
First off, you have to be born in the mid 80s or early 90s to have the full effect of 90s nostalgia. If you're one person who can stop playing the old Super NES, or still likes to watch Ren & Stimpy and Rocko's Modern Life reruns late at night on the Nicktoons Network, I'd deem you a 90's kid for the least.

A 90s kid would know Denver the Last Dinosaur. Obviously. lol


He or she woould also need to be over the age of 4 in 1990.

You remember when SNL was funny. (david spade, chris farley)

Did you watch Snick?

Those would be some good signs of an 1990's kid,

A 90s kid would:
Remember Furbys.
Have grown up watching Nick Toons.
May or may not be fimiliar with PBS cartoons such as Arthur.
Remember when DVDs first replaced VHSes.

Anyway simple answer is anyone born from 1983 to the early 90s which is consider Generation Y.

But seriously, it's more about liking the culture of the time and growing up in generally that time. I was born in 1994, so I missed some, but I saw a lot of reruns and would call myself more of a 90s kid than a 2000s kids.

I was born in 1994. I remember Mostly watching stuff from 1987 - 2004. I grew up with watching Duckula, (A '80s show ffs.) & I even remember Rocko's modern life. Most of my childhood shows were from the 90s, So I'd say I'm a 90s kid actually. :)

Honestly, I think it's a combination of culture...I grew up watching 80s tv shows and movies, does that make me an 80's kid? Hell no, I was born in 1986 for crying out loud, only have 1 memory of Christmas, '89 and that's it...

Think about what you remember from the decade, not just television and movies because syndication really doesn't count...if you remember probably 85% of these than you're probably a 90s kid (I mean actually remember, not being told about it...)
*the Oklahoma City Bombing (my teacher told us after recess, we almost got sent home)
*OJ Simpson (we watched it during school)
*Clinton being elected twice
*Clinton's "I did not have sexual relations..."
*Columbine (I was already in jr. high when that happened)
*Princess Diana dying
*Chicago Bulls being everyone's favorite team
*When Dolly was the first cloned sheep (I did a current event assignment on it)

*I remember the little girl that got trapped in the well for like two or three days and how much it scared me
