Hi, guys! Today I am going to be doing a new series of articles where I will be discussing all the NASCAR merchandise I own.

What I will be doing is breaking up this series into different parts discussing all the merchandise I owned from each season of NASCAR. This is the first part of the series where I will be discussing all the merchandise I own from the 1998 NASCAR season.

Me and my family used to be huge NASCAR fans back in the 1990's and Early 2000's. My mom was a Dale Earnhardt fan, my dad was a John Andretti fan, and I was a Bill Elliot fan (until he retired, then I became a Jeff Gordon fan). Back when they were fans of the sport, my parents used to love buying toy diecast cars for every NASCAR driver we could find for me to play with as a kid. We would find these cars in stores like Walmart, Kmart, Target, or KB Toys. Over the years we lost interest in the sport and no longer like it as much as we used to, but that is another story I will get into in my later articles.

I was 3 in 1998, and this is the first season I remember getting into NASCAR as a kid. I consider it to be one of the most memorable seasons in the history of the sport. It was the year Dale Earnhardt finally won his first Daytona 500 and the third time Jeff Gordon won the Winston Cup Championship.

Jerry Nadeau:

Jeff Gordon:

Dale Jarrett:

I loved playing with these diecast cars as a kid. I used to love reenacting races that I saw on TV and used to love making up imaginary races with these cars.

Dale Earnhardt's 1998 Daytona 500 Victory Lane:

My mom bought this Dale Earnhardt 1998 Daytona 500 Victory Lane Winner's Circle collectible because she was a huge Dale Earnhardt fan at the time and was so excited when he finally won his first Daytona 500 ever after 20 years of trying.

Bigger Diecast Cars That I Have:

Jeff Gordon:

Bill Elliott:

I also loved playing with these bigger diecast cars as a kid and they were really cool to have as well.

The Official 1998 NASCAR Preview and Press Statistics Magazine:

The Official NASCAR Preview and Press Guide was a statistics magazine that my parents used to buy every new NASCAR season. It showcased each team and driver and details for every track, every stat, and all the schedules for the forthcoming NASCAR season.

We loved buying this seasonal magazine because it was the only source for all things NASCAR. This annual publication provided fans with the complete season-in-review round-up, while it introduced each team, each driver, and details about each track. This essential NASCAR publication has long been considered the NASCAR bible and the must-have reference for any fan-serious or casual. Full of colorful photographs and exciting motorsport writing, the Preview and Press Guide includes the complete NASCAR schedule, track and ticket information, and all the stats, records, and results that racing fans wanted to know.

January 25, 1998 Sports Illustrated NASCAR Magazine Issue:

My dad used to have a membership subcription to Sports Illustrated and during 1998, we got this Sports Illustrated Magazine featuring Mark Martin and Jeff Gordon on the cover of the special commemorative from January 25, 1998.

Well, that's all the merchandise I own from the 1998 NASCAR season guys! Please leave me your thoughts on the article and soon I will be doing my second part of the series where I will be discussing all the merchandise I from the 1999 NASCAR season.
