Released: 1988
In this made for TV follow-up to the Tom Hanks/Daryl Hannah blockbuster SPLASH, Todd Waring (THE RETURN OF THE SHAGGY DOG) and Amy Yasbeck (PROBLEM CHILD, "Wings") take over the roles of Allen and Madison. The pair return from the sea and try to start a new life in suburbia, but when Madison catches wind that Allen's new boss is using dolphins for experimentation, she sets out to free the animals.

Wow, I thought I saw a commercial for this when I was younger, but figured my mind was playing tricks on me. lol Guess not. They didn't even try to find people who looked like Tom Hanks and Darryl Hannah.

From what I remember about it, this movie was an abomination -- and a pilot for a TV show. I've since come to like Amy Yasbeck, but I the way I remember it, she was pretty charmless in this movie. Or perhaps my judgement was cruel because it was NOT anything like the first film... Leave it to Disney to try to cash in again on a moneymaker!

Haha I vaguley remember seeing that preview years ago. I think when I was like 10 I guess. Splash 2 was such a disappointment and nothing compared to the first one.

Are you even Kidding!!! :O

I Love this TV/movie, if I could I would buy it...

I love anything to do with Mermaids.

I give you that nothing will ever be equal to the first movie but how offten do people come up with a mind blowing sequal?

I though it was cute, and funny, I thought they did a decent job on it, and found pretty good actors to play the roles.
