Little Pollon
Debut: May 08, 1982
Ended: March 26, 1983

Little Pollon (オリンポスのポロン, Orinposu no Poron) is Hideo Azuma’s manga take on Greek-Olympian mythology with a comedic twist. Pollon is the daughter of Apollo, God of the Sun, who wanted to become a beautiful and powerful goddess. Her backfiring craziness caused trouble to fellow Gods and Goddess, but strived hard to become perseverant and kind. It was published in Akita Shoten’s Princess between 1977 to 1979; it was later adapted as an anime adaptation under the title ”Ochamegami Monogatari Korokoro Poron (おちゃめ神物語コロコロポロン)” five years later by Kokusai Eiga-sha (Movie International Co.) and lasted 46 episodes. The series is noted for its faithful portrayal of the Gods of Mount Olympus as fallible beings succumbing to real human faults and weaknesses, such as selfishness, temper tantrums, debauchery, laziness, and vanity.
