Wisdom of the Gnomes, a sequel to the World of David the Gnome, is based on the world famous children's books The Gnomes and The Secret of the Gnomes by Dutch authors Rien Poortvliet and Wil Huygen. Klaus, the judge of the gnomes, is often seen traveling with his assistant Dany on a swan named Henry across the world attempting their best to solve gnomes' troubles and running into trolls Pit, Pat, Pot, and Holler at times. Short series that lasted 26 episodes and aired in various countries. However, it did not air in the United States until the Learning Channel picked up the series and aired it from November 4, 1996 to March 26, 1998. It was the only time it has ever aired in the United States, so far.
