Narrated by Fred Astaire. Produced by Rankin/Bass Written by Romeo Muller. Fred Astaire, in the character of a small town postman, narrates this enchanting animated Easter story. The tale begins in the village of Kidville, a town run entirely by children. There, a baby bunny grows up to make friends with the seven year old king of a nearby "grown up" town, bring him beautiful Easter eggs of lovely painted colors. Every Easter, the clever rabbit would invent another Easter tradition--egg rolling, jellybeans, chocolate bunnies...until the king's mean old aunt becomes angry over all the joyful Easter celebrations. But, once she sees the Easter lily, she too joins in the love of Easter Day.
