What was your favorite super nintendo fighting game?
Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo of course!!! Ken is definitely my fave char. I still play this game with my friend from time to time.
I never liked Motral Kombat either. everyone has the exact same punches, kicks, jumps, etc. The only thing that makes one char different from the other in this game is that they have different special moves, whoopdeedoo.

One of my fav's was Final Fight. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that Cody wasn't in there.

i always loved the Mortal Kombat games but on the snes i think it would be killer instinct
I never liked killer instinct as much as mortal kombat. I think it is just because I never knew the combos though.

Yeah. The only easy combos were Jago's. Because they were like Ken and Ryu.

The SNES had some really good fighting games. At the time, Super Street Fighter II was easily my favorite. If I had to choose now, I would pick Gundam Wing: Endless Duel. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tournament Fighters is a strong runner-up. Most of the good fighting games on SNES were arcade ports that have been done better on other systems more recently, so the more unique games stand out much more now than they did in the '90s.

The problem I had with every 2D Mortal Kombat after the first one was that the finishing moves became so hard to pull off, especially the babalities and friednships.
Super Street Fighter 2 was neat, but I never really got around playing it much. Mortal Kombat had this annoying blocking-system (separate key) and the finishing-moves were insanely hard to pull off too. On the other hand, Killer Instinct had these kewl characters and the best of both worlds: good moves, good finishing-moves, and the best graphics (not to forget the soundtrack!)
So yes: KI for me. SSF2 second. MK3 somewhere far behind.

Captain Commando. I know that it's a Brawler like Flamepanther said, but you still had to mash buttons like hell.
My favourite fighting game was Seifuku Densetsu: Pretty Fighter. I liked being the nurse and beating the crap out of the others! It was a pretty good game, fluid fighting styles and the like.
