I still own a copy of this one. It has been there since the NES was first received in 1989. I was probably not even a year old, but this is what the older people in my family have told me.

I think that I actually played duck hunt more than I did mario. I almost got the highest score possible, but I sort of cheated.
Hehe, I know how that goes, gun to the screen right? Speaking of cheating, I used to use my hands, not my feet, on the powerpad to beat all the racers in track and field. I don't think I ever actually ran on that thing.

It's OK, next time I'll make you listen. I wish that it were in the power of all children to say that to their parents and to know that indeed they would be heard as we were in those wonderful days on Waltons Mountain.Narrator The Waltons (From the Runawa

I also had the mario/duck hunt/track combo. I remember coming home from elementary school and seeing the Duckhunt game on and it was paused on level 115 or something. I was like holy feckin $hit, turns out my father too enjoyed the Nintendo. I also remember using the powerpad to jump the hurtles and running on it. One day while pwning the shit out of the comp, I stomped down on a nearby plastic Tri-Ceratops, his hard plastic tail punctured the bottom of my powerpadding foot. I still remember the shockwave of pain I felt!

I buy and re-sell lots of video games on Ebay. At any given time...I might have 10 - 20 Super Mario Bros/Duckhunt carts.
I am constantly selling these for $2 a piece on Ebay...but I would never part with my personal copy I've had since I was 6, not even for $100. Too much sentimental value.

I had a couple of versions of those games. I had the one that came with the Power Pad, but my mom was a big so-and-so and would never let me play it. :(
