Even though it's soooo dated now... Kings Quest was 'da bomb when it was out. I remember spending hours & hours on the computer with it. This was the days before actual speakers & had to rely on PC-Speaker built into the motherboard. It was really annoying & tinny... but the game was really engaging because you had to type in the commands for it.
I think it was Kings Quest III or IV, The Quest for Pearl... something like that.
As time passed, my father bought a sound-card & speakers and the first game: Wing Commander, just blew my mind with the sound coming from a PC like that!
Years later, Kings Quest finally came out as an all-in-one package up to, but not including, the latest Kings Quest game (the one that's in true 3D was and is still a stand-alone). Sad thing is, although I got all 6 or 7 of the Kings Quest games on one package... I really only played it for a couple weeks when it came out & haven't touched it since!
