for those who used to be hardcore gamers but are no longer....

how old were you when video games lost their importance (and do you remember a specific reason why?), and what video game was the last one you remember really caring about?

for me, i was 18 and i stopped caring when i started college in '99---the last game i remember loving was Castlevania for N64

I'd say right after I graduated high school, or either when I turned 18. I think the main reason for this, was the fact that I didn't get them anymore. Once I turned 18, my parents stopped buying me games, and I didn't have a job at the time either, so I guess I just outgrew them then.

I still play games on occasion now, but not as much as when I was younger, as most just don't appeal to me now, although, I still wouldn't mind me a Nintendo Wii to play since that is fun. lol

I cut way back after high school then a few years later I started playing again pretty heavily. I've cut way back again in the last couple of years as the games are boring to me now and I have other hobbies.
