I recently bought a used SNES game, but it has issues. When I turn on the game it works fine up until after the menu. When the gameplay begins the screen starts flickering and I can't move past the first screen.

I cleaned the contacts and they are pretty clean. Could it be the battery that's bad or what else?

It might be the pins on the SNES itself. Take a flashlight and look to see if any are bent. After that....I have no idea how to bend the pins back on the SNES. Just that you do it carefully.

I don't think it's the system since all the other games work fine, but I don't know.

It never hurts to just check. I didn't think it would be the system either since you didn't mention other games screwing up.

Try cleaning the actual SNES system out where you put the game in. A white tooth brush works very well. :D

I never played that game, but I've always wanted to. Just something about it that said it was fun.

I'm dumb. I found out the problem. My player 2 controller has a turbo and slow function. The controller was set to the slow function. After I took that function off, the game started playing normal. No wonder the game was acting up and moving slow. The game plays great now.LOL

                    BTW This game is awesome.

hahaha! I hate it when it turns out thats all that was wrong with the game. You do get that "Oh....I'm riding the stupid bus now." feeling.
