What would be your most favorite Mario game of all time?

My most favorite Mario game would be Super Mario 64 for the N64

That is my favorite Mario game, what is yours?

Super Mario Bros 1 and 3. The versions on Super Mario All Stars was alright, but I liked the simplicity of the originals.

same here since mario 2 is actually another game rip. the lost levels is the actual mario 2.

Super Mario Bros. 1-3, Super Mario World, and Super Mario 64 are some of my favorites. I can't choose just one!

I don't know... they're all great. But I think Mario games from 1991-96 were the best, because with the new systems you could do so much more, and they were always really expansive and packed with goodies that made the games very non-linear.

I think they all rule! But if I had to choose I couldn't decide between:

                            Super Mario 64
                            Super Mario 64 DS
                            Mario Kart 64
                            Mario Kart: Double dash
                            Mario golf: Toadstool tour
                            Mario party 5
                            Luigi's mansion

Super Mario 3, Super Mario World and the original Super Mario Kart - Although the later Mario Kart games had extra features as well as hills and and loop-da-loops etc, I really liked the original, flat Mode-7 tracks in the SNES version. They were hard!

Super Mario 3. My favorite enemies (the hammer bros) has cousins in this game and the Hammer Bros suit is the greatest powerup ever in Mario games IMO.

Super Mario 3...I remember going nuts when my grandmother purchased it for me. I don't think I stopped playing for weeks.

                                    Hmm tough choices

Super Mario Bros. 3 has to be the end-all be-all for me though, that to me is Mario personified in digital format. The classic plot, strange enemies, lots of fun ways to bring out game genie glitches/quirks, and challenging yet rewarding. Oh, and who can forget the wind-up boot!! HAH, I GOT THE SHOE!!! I GOT THE FREEKIN' SHOE!!

Super Mario World comes in second, I find it a little too long to just pick up and play whenever I want to, I often end up setting goals to pass. I often have to scurry back downstairs in 3 minutes if I start playing SMW at work.

Third would be Super Mario RPG, same deal as world, I just get to immersed to make it a short term run. I'd have to spend hours upon hours entrenched in the storyline as if I were Mario myself, that's just how I play, it's an escape.

Fourth is Super Mario Land 2: The Six Golden Coins - I spent hours playing this on school trips, day camp trips, and during the bus rides home from school. This is one of the rare few Game Boy titles I know in and out and through and through.

And Finally is MARIO PAINT! Sure, it's not a game, but by god, a piece of creative software for the SNES in a time when a decent SVGA equipped 486 computer with Windows 3.1x cost $3,000....thank god for Nintendo. I spent hours and hours drawing, animating, playing the bug swatter game, and composing on that cart with the little SNES mouse. Shame I can't find the mouse for my copy that I have now.

I love the ending of SMB2 when he learns that "MOST FAVORITE" is poor grammar.

OMG!! How in the world could I forget about Mario Paint! I haven't played or seen that game for years now. I no longer have it or my SNES, but I still have my mouse pad that came with it.

By your mentioning this, I'm on a total nostalgia trip. Summer of 1993...I was still 11 years old...my mom bought me Mario Paint (along with some other games...like Star Fox and the terrible Home Alone 2 and Tom & Jerry...but that was my fault, I actually asked for those lol) and I would play for hours... lol As Cosmo of Fairly Oddparents would say..."Good times...good times..."

Just this past weekend, I was randomly going on about that game where you have to swat that big fly. I was talking about the scream the hand made when he got hit. lol Did that swatting game ever have an ending to it?
