Anybody liked that game? I hated it. It's a really horrible game. I played it on my NES emulator and it was the worst game I ever played. I showed this to a friend of mine and he says that he loved it and he tells me that the only reason why I hate that game is because The Angry Video Game Nerd hated it. But that's not true, I was coping him when I said that I liked Pong better and that it haunted me (which it kind of does) but I was NOT coping him about the fact that it's HORRIBLE. And he says that there is no reason for me to hate that game. Yeah, like I don't have a reason. I can't stand this game. Anybody else here actually liked it or didn't like it?

Yeah it was a terrible game with terrible box art too if I remember correctly. It could be rented at my local video shop but you needed a pro action replay to use it - maybe because of a problem with region codes? Or mayeb because it wasn't an official Nintendo game? I'm not sure.

Um... that game wasn't bad... it was actually fairly OK. Now, if you want a bad game based on a bad movie/novel/whatever, go with Hunt for Red October.

As for Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, yes, it's as bad as they say. The sound was actrocious, the gameplay was unbearable, and the difficulty was steeper than Mt. Everest.

Yeah, the only reason I even know about that game is cause of the Angry Video Game Nerd. Thank God I never rented or bought that piece of dammit.

No it wasn't. Unlike Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, the gameplay wasn't BROKEN, and the controls didn't kill you more than the enemies did in the game.

In my opinion, Nightmare on Elm Street is actually pretty decent. Dr. Jekyl & Mr. Hyde on the other hand? Garbage. I wish AVGN went more into the game though, in the second level, they had birds dropping poo bigger than their own bodies, and its brown!

How do you even get past the first level though? I never figured it out, threw the game aside and went back to playing Battletoads.

Actually my Battletoads cart stopped working not long after I played Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on my NES. I blame that shitty game! I then traded in Battletoads for Jackie Chan's Action Kung-fu as there were no copies of BT left.

Are you talking about Nightmare on Elm Street?

Well, the first three houses are randomly generated. Sometimes the first house will be the third one from your starting point, or between the two houses, or where you start at. You enter, you collect bones, keep yourself awake (unless you want to use your collected classes like Acrobat, Shadow Warrior, or Necromancer), collect more bones face Freddy (or Freddy's parts) at the end of the level.

It's difficult, but not impossible. You just have to keep trying. If you ever come across the game again, give it another shot.

FACT: Nightmare on Elm Street was developed by Rare, the makers of Battletoads.

No no. I meant Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde. How did you get to level 2?

And Rare made Nightmare on Elm Street? I can't believe that! Moral of the story; "If at first you don't succeed..."

That, I don't know. Even I can't get past Level 1... then again, I only played it a couple of times. I think maybe you oughta check my first post in the "New Super Mario Bros." topic made by Jesus Crysus for a tip.

Haha. Cheers for the tip. But getting to level 2 would involve having play that shitty game again and I can't see that happening. :D

Yeah the Angry Video Game Nerd is how I first heard of this game

The furthest I could ever get is the part with the birds. Man it IS true, only a complete moron would actually like this game. I'm not calling my friend a moron but I just don't see how he could like this game, and he said he got past the first level, well I could get past the first level too but it's the furthest I've ever gotten.

Neither can I. Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde is the game for fans of crap like Virtuoso on the 3DO or Custer's Revenge on the Atari 2600.
