Has anyone ever got their game file to be 100% complete on Super Mario World?
I have 91% currently. I think I have gotten a little more on a previously saved game long ago, though.
What are a few of the typical things to miss? I would like to get a 100% file if possible. I just can't seem to figure out what it is I'm missing. Thanks!

Do you mean beating all 96 stages?
Or are you playing the GBA version? I think you gotta find all them Yoshi Coins or something... and beat all 96 stages, of course... maybe get a super high score... I dunno.

complete all 96 stages, rescue Peach, and get all dragon coins in all the levels in the GBA version, yes.

I have before. It has been a while, so I don't remember what all needs to be completed to get 100 percent.
Well I am playing the Super Nintendo version. It seems like I have completed all 96 stages with both normal and secret exits. So, yeah there's gotta be something I am missing.

I think it does, because, at the title screen when you go to select a game file it displays a number showing how much you have completed, though it doesn't show a percent sign (%) - just a number. Mine is 91.
No... that's the number of stages you've completed. There're 96 stages in all, and you've apparently missed some exits or something. Try the Star World.

Did you find Soda Lake? Did you find all three exits of the second stage in the dangerous, but tasty, Chocolate Island? What about that one with all them Dino Torches?

I redid all the normal and secret exits in the star world, which has brought be to 95, I guess end up saving on those. So now it looks like I'm only missing one. Yes I did find Soda Lake. The Dino Torches one, yes. The walkthrough I looked at on GameFAQs only shows 2 exits for the 2nd stage and 2 for the 3rd, which I have completed both and saved. Not sure what the one last thing is I am missing.
Wasn't there another special world besides the star world or was that only for the GBA version?

Finding Soda Lake is a breeze!
Here's what you need:
1. Yoshi
2. Feather
3. Feather (in the box, just in case!)
Nooooooooooooooow... go to Cheese Bridge 1... when you arrive near the goal, DON'T CROSS IT! Simply float under it. Using Yoshi, jump off of him when you've crossed under the Goal.
Got it?

No! Those take you to a bonus round, and that's the end of the level!
Yep, I've cleared all 96 levels many times. I've been playing this game for 15 years now.
It's in the SNES version too. There's a secret exit you can take from one of the Star World levels.
As for the Soda Lake entrance, if you're really good enough you don't even need Yoshi - I've only gotten it once or twice with just Mario and his cape.
Soda Lake is definitely one of the more annoying courses. Damn torpedoes...
