Well mostly I wanted to mention the crappiest version of the original Double Dragon, the Commodore 64 version (I have a master disk for it and even the first time the game was loaded, the graphics were so buggy you could hardly play past the first level...........
This was the game, not the disk, I later found a C64 cartridge dump online that was just as horrible.

More horrid ports:
Commodore 64:
Gauntlet, Gauntlet iI, Gauntlet III

NES:
King's Quest V
Any other horrid ports of good games? (that is to say not shit games like Shackled (arcade), just crappy ports of great games (C64 port of Gauntlet leaves something to be desired)

The GBA version of STH (called "Sonic The Hedgehog Genesis") had lousy controls and very big graphics that are too big for the screen. I mean, what was Sega thinking??

Dragon's Lair for the NES and SNES, I understand that they couldn't port the animation sequences, but it didn't have to try to go for the same style but as a platforming game instead.
        Game... ovahhhhhhhhh!!!

The version for the PS2 is kind of hard too. The PS2 controls just wasn't meant for that game, imo. Seems a lot of older games are a bit difficult for these newer systems because of the controls.

I think the 2 Ninja Turtles arcade games should not have appeared on the Gamecube the way they did:

The first Turtles arcade game had the original 1987 toon's theme song replaced by that of the 2003 toon. All the voice samples were removed and all the music from all the levels was removed and replaced by a single tune that plays regardless what level you are on. I haven't played this disgrace to the Turtles franchise, but I have read about it.

As if the bastardization of the first Turtles arcade game weren't bad enough: Turtles In Time's Gamecube port is worse:

Attract mode is recuded to just the title screen, instead of the "Pizza power" song, the title screen music is the theme from the 2003 Turtle toon. Also, there is no scoring in the game, and most of the original voice samples were re-recorded VERY BADLY. Also, all the music from all the levels has been substituted for different tunes. Also, the end credits have been replaced by a "Congratulations" message. I have played THAT monstrosity, and I think Konami SHOULD NOT have messed with those 2 great games like that.

Just wondering: Can Smoke be unlocked on PS3 Mortal Kombat 2? He can't be unlocked on the Xbox version, according to Wikipedia.

That was fun at first, but if you compare it to the original arcade game, it stinks.

Mortal Kombat Advance is the worst. The difficult CPU, stances of the Ninjas are copied from Kitana, Smoke & Scorpion & all else make this game really rubbish.

                    Why thank you! ^_^

At least they did that for the GBC version of the game! ;)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game wasn't that great of a port on the NES. The overall game just didn't have the same feel the arcade game did. I would have liked it better on the SNES.

The NES version of "NARC" was shit, but the 2005 remake on the PS2 was DIARRHEA SHIT!

I almost forgot, the Atari 2600 and Sega Master System versions of "Ghostbusters" were fun & decent games, but the NES version SUCKED. Watch AVGN's 3-part review of Ghostbusters & see what I mean.

DOOM for ZX Spectrum-- yes, this actually happened. I think the idea's interesting, but it's strange to see a 1990s game be ported to a computer that was severely outdated by the time DOOM was released.

Sega was thinking: "Hey, for the 20th anniversary of Sonic The Hedgehog, lets re-realease the original game on the Gameboy Advance."

                                    Unfortunatly, they thought wrong. :D

But it wasn't Sonic's 20th anniversery. Sonic the Hedgehog came out in 1991.
