Guitar Hero 1 had a pretty good list of tracks, GH2 had an awful songlist, GH3 was okay (some good songs, some lame), and GH Encore was just chock full of wonderful music...how can you go wrong with a game that has Poison, Oingo Boingo, Scandal, Flock of Seagulls, and the Scorpions?

Anyway, I think especially GH2 could have done better with the songlist...are there any songs you would have liked to see in the GH series?

Personally, I would have liked to see "Someday Love Will Find You" by Journey. Hell, if they put goddamn "Ziggy Stardust" in the first game, then a Journey track couldn't have hurt. Also, while I practically peed my pants when I learned one of the games had an Oingo Boingo track, I don't think it was a good choice for the series. I'm a big fan of their music and I would much rather have seen "No One Lives Forever" because it has a damn fine guitar going throughout the song.

Others that may have been cool to see would be something by Hammerfall, "Full Moon" by Sonata Arctica, or maybe "Juke Joint Jezabel" by KMFDM or "Devil's Daughter" by Silvertide. These might not be good tracks for the encore game since they aren't from the 80s, but hell, if Avenged Sevenfold and Dragonforce can find their way into these games, then I'd say Hammerfall and KMFDM deserve a chance too.

So, what do you think should have been included in Guitar Hero?

GH1 had an ok list, GH3 was pretty poor with a few outstanding tracks (the belly of a shark for one)

Personally, I'm thinking Seger's "Turn The Page," AC/DC's
"You Shook Me All Night Long," Quiet Riot's "Cum on, Feel The Noize" or Bon Jovi's "Living on a Prayer" or "Dead or Alive."

I wanted some Def Leppard desperately only because they were pretty much the only "hair band" that I could stomach.

I still can't believe there's no Nirvana yet. Maybe Activision felt guilty considering it, seeing how Kurt wouldn't have wanted his music on a game whose fanbase is mostly stupid preppy and jockish kids who think they're "all that".

Heart Shaped Box was on GH2.. it was the easiest song on the whole damn game too.. i don't blame them for not putting any on the third game.. Soundgarden's better anyways!!

Well, I've only played the third one, but it seems to be the one that made Guitar Hero big.

Isn't there a way of adding your own tracks anyway? I saw some clips of the Transformers The Movie theme being played on Guitar Hero on You Tube.
