did anyone here ever abuse tails just for fun? when i was younger i used to laugh my head off when something happened to him. like in level 2 of sonic 2 when you're in that factory, and you're on those moving yellow platforms. i would make sonic slowly step forward to get tails to move farther ahead, and he fell in the wattery pit of doooom

Yes, I enjoyed doing Tails abuse in sonic 1 and 2 as well. :twisted: Tails is cute, but nearly there only to be an annoyance. It would be nice if he was available to choose as a main character instead of sonic.

He is. Go to the options in Sonic 2 and there's an option to have Sonic and Tails on the screen at the same time (the default option), Sonic alone, or Tails alone.

I've never done that. I liked Tails way too much to purposely harm him. IMO, Tails is one of the best character additions to the Sonic franchise. ^_^
Although I've found him to be kind of annoying, I've never tried to intentionally harm Tails during the game.

....tails wasn't introduced until sonic 2 for the genesis...so he's not in sonic 1
and in sonic 2 on the genesis you can play as "tails only" in the options menu..
I "abused him" and found it funny for about 5 minutes and that was the end of that. Great thing is disabling him so he doesn't get coins and lose them in the bonus stages.

tails shouldn't have to be a character that you need to unlock.

Goddamnit!! I hate when people call "rings", "coins" in Sonic games.

unless your friend grabbed the other controller. It took me a while to realize I could disable him and thusly make the bonus stages much easier by doing so.

then you realize that getting super sonic make the gameplay fun....but it gets rid of the awesome music and replaces it with this repetative annoying song....F#CK THAT
