This He-Man collection brought back excellent memories, that is one awesome collection, and one of the cleanest and tidiest I have seen, oh and I like the idea of placing them behind the glass
Every time I visit RetroJunkit seems to change. Just glad the people dont.

Come on Vertex and Mod Gang, sort out my contributions

I need to buy some more glass display cases of some sort. Keeping the non cased figures clean is a royal PITA.

Glad to see you made it over 10incher.

Got some cool transformers, alot of those are worth a fair bit, best hold on to them all if they're originals.

Wow, someone else who had both that weird CHAIN puzzle (one of the followups to the Rubik's Cube phase) AND that cheap plastic ORGROID from the ORGUSS series :D

The Orguss ship is actually from the line Convertors. Select had the rights for the smaller molds. It took me forever to find out what that thing was.

yeah, i also had some transforming blue helicopter from that exact same line.......it was cheap blister-carded stuff, the kind of xformers you'd find at like Drug Stores and stuff.

I remember seeing the Orgroid and it taking me *years* to find out what the ship actually was from. I still to this day have never seen the Orguss anime or have any idea what its about, but I did wind up buying the large Orgroid transforming toy...I want to say its made by either Bandai or by Takatoku from the 80's.

Back in the 80's after Robotech took off, everyone became an anime-junkie overnight and any toy from japan was immediately in the limelight. If it transformed, well, so much the better :)

Yeah, Convertors were sort of cheap, but they do have they're own charm. They've actually become one of my favorite lines to collect.

For years, I actually thought that that figure was from a Robotech line, but I could never find any pictures of it. I eventually broke down and emailed the guy that runs toyarchive.com and he got back to me the same day with the name of the figure.

I'm like you, I know nothing about the Orguss line or the series. It does have some damn nice figures though from what I've seen. I've thought about picking up the larger version of my figure, but it usually runs in the $100+ range on ebay :?

Well for vintage 80's Japanese toys $100 bucks is nothing. The old Takatoku macross toys used to run like $800 and up, I remember seing the uber-macross toy, the 1/55 scale Armored Valk with the full Armor set sell on Ebay for I *THINK* $2 grand........I was like "Man...thats rough!" :D

Now that Yamato released their version, I dont know if the original Bandai (or takatoku, whoever made it) commands the same high price..
