I have Dolls and Spookies on laserdisc. They just released DOLLS on dvd but I'm not sure they'll release Spookies. It's a dying format but colllectors would disagree.

I didnt know laser disks existed either till a couple of years ago. My neighbors had Hunchback of Notre Dame on laser disk. I always wondered where they got it from b/c I'd never seen them being sold in the stores.

Yep, about the size of a vinyl record.

                        It's like a 12" CD.

I have about 200 Laser Discs and three players. I picked up the players when DVD took over (got a $900 player for about $50) and I picked up most of my laser discs for less than a buck each.

The old TOwer Video store on South Street in Philly had a major clearance and I picked up a lot of stuff.

Most of the stuff I own I've sine rebought on DVD, but there are still a few titles that only seem to be available on Laserdisc.

I've never own a laserdisc in my life. Long after CED videodisc phased out, laserdisc was made before DVD came along.

I had a job at our local video store in '93, and the owner had a fairly large LD section. Once in a blue moon, someone would actually rent one. When the time came to phase them out of the store, he was virtually giving them away to customers. Now I wish I had jumped all over that. Most of them were in fantastic condition.

Lol, I wouldn't know one if I saw it, but goodwill always has some crazy electronics floating around, but also some really cool stuff on occasion.

I don't think I've ever seen a laserdisc and I know my family never owned one. Looks a lot like record LP's.[/img]

A long time ago, I bought an LD player from the Sally Army thrift store, but I didn't have any LDs to test it with. I bought Golden Boy episode 1 on ebay, and soon found that the LD player was dead. Years later, I saw a less retarded-looking LD player at a church rummage sale. They wanted $7 for it. Awesome. I took it home and ejected the tray, and what to my wonderng eyes should appear, but KING RALPH on laserdisc, totally weird.

So now my collection consists of King Ralph and Golden Boy 1. 9_9

My Betamax collection consists of Star Trek the Motion Picture, and some weird movie called Wacko.

Oh yeah, LDs are a whole foot wide, and about as thick as two, maybe two and a half CDs.

I bought Clueless on LaserDisc off of Amazon for $14.99 which is fairly cheap.
