I would love to see the intro...or episodes...of Turkey TV. I don't know if people remember it or not, but I believe it was on Nickelodeon way back when the station began. It was a bunch of different sketches (some with Uncle Floyd for those of you in the PA/NJ area!).
I wish I had tapes of those episodes as well, and that was my only exposure to what Uncle Floyd was like (and I'm from Ohio). The show was produced between Nickelodeon and the producers of You Can't Do That on Television. The earlier version of the show used to show skits with some of the YCDTOTV cast, but I think later on the association was severed and it went another way, more heavily on the stock footage and clips thrown on.
One thing I liked was watching those odd clips and wanting to see those films in their entirity than in small doses. Here's a few I could sight and some URLs about them...
-
"Closet Cases of the Nerd Kind"-
"Tennis Club" by Bruno Bozzetto
-
"Bambi Meets Godzilla" by Marv Newland
- Paul Driessen's "The Killing of an Egg"
I think it was the use of showing these is what led to me to track down such gems in later years.
For anyone that might like to see "Tennis Club" in it's uncut glory (featuring some risque gags Nick wouldn't dare show), click here...

http://ipodmovies.illuster.nl/movies/ipod/killing_an_egg_ipod.m4vI think Turkey TV typically didn't like to show the conclusion of this film, which otherwise got seen otherwise elsewhere on Nickelodeon as well as on an episode of Liquid Television.
A lot of times this material could be hard to find but if you know the right people and/or companies it makes it a lot easier tracking down.
