Hi Gang,
If any of you have any US Tomy Tutor ads from 1983/84 I would appreciate them. I had three of its game cartridges ("Scramble," "Jungler" and "Loco-Motion"). This was the only video game system or family computer my parents had ever ordered through the phone.
The ads featured Sarah Purcell as the pitchwoman.
In Japan, the Tutor was called the Pyuuta. Several versions of the Pyuuta existed: There was the standard version (with the same style of keyboard design the US Tomy Tutor would have), and then there was the Jr. version (intended strictly for games and graphic design). A Mark II version of the Pyuuta existed late in the series' run that had a proper typewriter-style keyboard.
Thank you,
Ben
