I was born in the 89, sure i know it was far too late but i did how ever get to see some of the great shows, i wish i had lived more of the 80s because i find anythin from 1977 to 1994 really interesting, good TV shows, great video games and etc, i really like the 80s.

is there any one around the same age as me in here, i had already said it but i will say it again

I wished i got to live more of the 80's away.

I also collect retro toys like Lego, rock em shock em robots G I Joes and etc, not that i play with them I just want to fill the space of the stuff i missed out on.
also i havea large collection of classic retro video games

also i think the 80s are so Rad.

Personally I wish I was born between 1968 and 1973 so I could have remember the '70s and '80s and a little more about the early '90s as I find that time period very interesting. :D

I'm glad that I was born when I was (1986). I got to see alot of the good cartoons and movies from the 80's, and I can now look back on them with fond memories. :)
Also I get to avoid most of the "fashion infractions" of the 70's and 80's and humorously relive them at parties. :P

Bleach wasn't bad but can't hold a candle to Incesticide.

I wish I was born in like 79 or 80 but I was born in 1983 and proud of it.

When I was 4 years old I saw my favorite movie for the first time Robocop (1987). As a 4 year old that violence did not scare me.

Do you remember Robocop? I love Robocop

I was also born in '86 and I'm kinda happy with that. Sometimes I wish I was born just a year earlier or '82/'83 so I could've watched some shows first-run (like Care Bears.) But I knew I was part of a different/special generation when I was going to high school with kids born in the '90s. Our memories were completely different. Now the kids I student teach with were born in like 1998. It'll be 2000+ soon!

Here's an alarming thought for all of you: New Playboy models were born in '87. Scaaaaaarrryyyy.

What a Coincidence I too was born in 1986 and in my book it was a great year to be born, because you got to catch reruns of 80's shows in the early 90's like Inspector Gadget and get first hand look at the 90's shows.

anyone born after 89 should count themselves lucky, your heritage is perfectly preserved in dvds and high quality recordings. with technology so accesible now its the best time to be young. im from 76 so my memories are very sketchy

As some of the people who posted in this thread, I, too, was born in '86.

However, I missed quite a few of oldies, like Legend of Zelda cartoons.

I consider myself lucky to be born in this era, mainly because later on when you have kids, they'll be expected to have proficients or better on their writing portfolios in order to graduate, not to mention learn a second language...

Wow, school's getting too bloated. Glad I don't have to go back.

Come to think of it, I didn't get away from it. I have old pictures of me dressed in parachute pants and who knows what else!

thats funny I just checked your MySpace Page and it says that you are 18 Imagine that?

You know, I'm getting annoyed with all the kids lying about their ages on MySpace. You're not supposed to be on there if you're under 18. My poor friends have been hit on by 14 year olds via MySpace... disturbing behavior. (And I'm sure it sometimes goes the other way too.)

I'm very glad I didn't grow up with the Internet. And I actually didn't have cable either. But seriously, all the stuff that became so popular during the '90s... I was talking to some 13 year olds about cell phones in school... How kids shouldn't have them. I suggested a beeper instead and none of them even knew what it was! (Seriously, how do they think we survived without constant contact?) Then I told them stories about a time before the Internet... when we had DOS!! And those big floppy disks that were called floppy for a reason... and the old Mac's with black screens. Back when we all did actual research at the library (Card catalogues anyone?)

I guess I was both young and old enough to appreciate all the changes.

Wow, school's getting too bloated. Glad I don't have to go back.

I disagree. It's becoming too focused. No projects or extracurricular activities anymore... just core curriculum and test prep. Stupid No Child Left Behind! Just goes to show that politicians and their know-nothing business cronies should stay out of the classroom.

Nyah, okay, I won't go into that. I get too heated.

You know that's odd. I heard just recently that they had to dumb down the SAT's just so kids could pass... Curriculum's too bloated? Maybe it's bloated with the wrong stuff. And you don't have to be 18 to be on myspace. My friend is only 16,too and he's on myspace. I only said I was 18 because I don't want some freak looking for me, so I dont want my real age on there.
