I'll always go with the old. The new just ruined the experiences for us who grew up with it.

The new Nick doesn't have the sweet shows...like the ones with marc summers or whatever his name was.

I know it's been said time and time again, but the shows just aren't the same anymore. I think that stuff like the New Doug and the Rugrats movie started to signal the end of "our" Nick.

Old All the Way...
sure there are a few shows that are good but with the old nick almost every show was good and they took away SNICK and replaced it with TeenNick on Sunday night instead of saturday

Ah, I remember sitting in my grandmother's living room (didn't have cable at my house then) on the green carpet, watching Maya the Bee, the Noozles, The Little Prince, The Littl' Bits, Mysterious Cities of Gold, You Can't Do That On Television...
Ah, good times.
Even the later stuff in the early 90's was still pretty good, I remember watching the original Doug a lot. Double Dare was, of course, the best gameshow on TV, and the first season or two of Are You Afraid of the Dark were enjoyable.
And these days we've got what? Spongebob Squarepants.
Oh, how the mighty have fallen...

old nick had a way better sense of humor with things, like the somewhat "dirty" jokes that were in cartoons that we never understood when we were little, and that we laugh at now. To tell you the truth, the new nick just plain sucks. The only halfway decent show that you can catch on a regular basis anymore is Spongebob, and even that is getting to be a little toned down. Shows like ren and stimpy, and Rocko's Modern Life were actually funny. And i know that they didnt just seem funny to me as a kid, because i still watch these shows, and they still are extremely funny. Also, nick game shows, which were all awesome, went down the drain. And the so called "teen nick" is nothing compared to snick. I cant understand how kids are entertained by watching a sitcom starring "lil romeo" and his "family". :x I think that the reason Nickelodeon went down the drain is because of the switch of Nickelodeon presidents to herb scannell in 2003. but thats just my [very long] opinion.

I Miss the old nick it was alot better than the nick of today the nick of today sucks ass i swear to god it must be run today by the Gayest, Stupidest People in the World.

thats exactly what i said, in 2003 the presidency of nickelodeon was handed over to Herb Scannell, who, in my opinion, ruined nickelodeon.
even though the network started to go downhill around 1999
when you have stupid shows Like Zoey 101 and Lil Romeo as the biggest star
i pretty much gave up on that network
last summer tho...on U Pick Live
they ran a full week where kids got to vote for a favorite old nick episode
got to see some clarissa, some Rocko and some Salute Your Shorts
Everyone should pick up the Clarissa and Pete and Pete DVD's

Oh come on... we know we're just indulging in a pity party here :D. Just who at Retro is going to pick new Nick? Seriously though, I haven't really watched the network for a while, so I may not be qualified to give a fair opinion.
There are a couple reasons WHY I haven't watched it though -- maturity being one (though there'll always be some childhood in me), and the other, as many have pointed out, being a lack of interesting shows.
Old Nick was great. Double Dare and Family Double Dare were so good they got picked up by FOX. Nick Arcade ruled too. Mr. Wizard, Picture Page, Danger Mouse, Today's Special, Guts, Legends of the Hidden Temple, You Can't Do That On Television... these are the shows that helped make childhood the fun experience it's supposed to be.
New Nick, last I remember watching, just seemed less cool. (Though I'm curious about Zoey 101 simply because that title sounds so interesting :wink:).

slime time live was definitely not marc summers. it was part of a "new" nick line up, and it was hosted by dave aizer.

man Old School no question. Old Nick was amazing. I was too young to notice it before but now when i see the Nickelodeon today, i notice how lucky i was to be able to watch the classics before it got booted off

Old nick all the way one thing that could have made old nick great was the fact the cartoons were not made by nick nick focused on the live action stuff and got the cartoons from other places like england, canada, and japan. there are some shows that are on now tha ti do like. I like avatar the last air bender and neds declassified information. the good thing about ned's is they dont draw out the epps insted of 1 bad 30 minute show like the rest of them its 2 15 minute funny spisodes a time.
but i wont be suprised nick will cancel them they always cancel the good stuff to early like ren and stimpy and invader zim. but things like spounge bob they show for around the clock.
