Does anyone remember Pogs? I used to have so many of them and they were real popular when I was younger. Me and my friend would play that for a long time and I knew people that would play for each others pogs. They had every type of pog imaginable like a saw shaped pog and comic pogs ect. They had these tubes you could buy where you could save all your pogs in. The slammers were cool too because if I remember correctly they came in different shapes also. Some were heavier than others. I got rid of all my pogs but that was a pretty fun phase that took over there for awhile.

I had so many pogs it was disgusting. I remember the Disney ones were my favorites I had a couple of Robin Hood ones and Swan Princess ones too (though thats not Disney) and I remember the mall had this vendor that had pogs from all different movies like the Mask and stuff. They were so awesome. I had a couple of slammers too. We would always trade them in school but I dont think we ever actually played with them. They were simply something you traded in my school.

I had a huge box of pogs. I always liked the ones with eyeballs, dragons or eightballs or yin-yangs on them.

I remember the Oj trial was big at the same time as pogs so they made of bunch of slammers with Oj's mugshot on them. Sooooo 90's!

mad magazine OJ-related pog stickers were the best though. one had OJ behind bars and two words "The Slammer" Classic stupid comedy from a magazine I loved as a kid

Also 8-ball designs were everywhere, leading alot of over protective parents to monitor their kids pog purchases becuase of what they though was a subtle cocaine reference

Last but not least, there was a teen aimed dance club here in orlando Florida called "night moves" early to mid 90's. And there was a huge sign as you walked in that stated simply "NO POGS!" I guess pogs had been the cause of many a fight at night moves.

I wanted the one w/ OJ behind bars but my mom wouldn't let me get it.

pogs were wicked but i had the dollar store ones and the cheap rip offs milk caps
i loved the slams but i loved even more with the thick metal slam from the cheap rip offs

i got bored of pogs and came up with a new game called "whip the metal saw blade shape slammer at the closest thing"
                      i loved that game

I never really got into pogs...I was more of a marbles girl.

I do remember them banning pogs at my school after one too many "incidents".

I can't remember too much about my set of pogs, but I did'nt have too many. My older brother had one of those half-foot canisters, though, red, and something like a 1/2 inch slammer. It was insane.

My slammer was a 1/4 inch POS, but it was holofoil silver with a black skull in the center. I thought it was the shit. Would be a pretty nice memento to have, but I don't know what happened to them.

I'm looking at mine right now, I found them a few months ago. Man, half of them are dumb. One Just has some weird looking guy in a turtle neck sweater who is stareing at me. seems like half of them have a ying yang symbol on them. the slammers though were getting out of hand, I have ones that are a half inch thick. I think there were these special pog playing boards you could get but not to many people had them. It seems like pogs came out of nowhere around '93 they were just everywhere all the sudden and then by '96 everyone forgot about them.

I pretty sure I have the slammer you are talking about it its got the shiny foil like paint job and a skull on it, but then again all pogs had skulls, ying yang signs or the 8 balls on them.

True. Mine could have had an 8-ball and not a skull, and I wouldn't know the difference. I can picture it either way.

I have a 1/2 inch brass slammer with an inset of a hologram stegosaurus. had several others, but that was my favorite. I also had 2 playing boards, one a hard plastic disk with a reflective black widow on it, and the other simular to a mouse pad type material that was, yep you guessed it, a big 8 ball.
