Not that it was like a favourite of mine or anything, but since halloween this year, it's been bugging me. There was this show (a movie actually) that I watched a couple of times a few years ago. I think the cover had a gangly kid with freckles on it or something holding a pumpkin. Anyway, as far as I can remember, it had something to do with a bunch of friends and one of them had cancer or some other related illness, and there was this old guy, and there was this freaky looking tree with a bunch of heads that had been turned into jack o lanterns.

Wow, that was a nice rant! I think the title may have had tree in it, but i'm not certain.
Help! Put my mind at ease!
A need a title!

Thanks in advance. :D :)

    The Halloween Tree.

I haven't seen it before, but the reviews on Amazon sound pretty good. I might have to rent it.

Oh, I've seen this, but only once, or maybe twice. I'm pretty sure I saw it on Cartoon Network, and it was shown more than once. I thought it was pretty cool, the little I do remember of it, which isn't much, I'm afraid.

Yeppers, Thanks! That was indeed the show. After a quick google search turned up the cover of the video, I knew it was so. I actually want to read the book now. 8)

One boy had appendicitis and had to go the hospital that was why he couldn't go trick-or-treating with his friends when they showed up.

I posted this same question on the cartoon database forum right around Halloween time. I LOVED that movie. The educational stuff really stuck with me. I want to buy it and read the book. :D
