Anybody remember a show that was almost like Strawberry Shortcake but the main character was called Peppermint Rose? Every now and then, a tv network would put an episode on like the day after Thanksgiving. All I remember is that some girls a la Strawberry Shortcake and friends wearing hats just like them. This was another one of those girl shows from the 80's. It was just a blink-and-you-miss it type show I guess because I only saw one episode.

Didn't they have dolls that came with little bottles of perfume?
Oh wow. I still have one of those bunny plushies... when you squeeze the tummy, the flower on top "grows." I completely forgot where it came from.
I remember I saw the Peppermint Rose show on Thanksgiving too along with the PJ Sparkles show. I never had a Peppermint Rose doll, but I wanted one.
I remember this book, it was my cousins favorite back then.

i remember that show! i used to watch this one episode all the time. peppermint rose was talking to one of her friends on a pink phone or something and then it went dead. she heard a roar and went downstairs and a dragon was standing at her door. i forget how, but she found out it was a good dragon and it took her to another world or something. she got some sort of new power and outfit and saved the other world from and evil queen who killed and ate flowers. then the dragon brought all her friends and they became magical too. why isnt real life like that?

When I bought the doll (it was Peppermint Rose), it came with a VHS cassette containing one episode of the cartoon show plus ads. I still have the tape but I don't know where the doll is. The cartoon was great and beautiful.
