I remember the original Stretch Armstrong that came out in the late 70s. I had one of those, Stretch X Ray the see through alien and Ollie the stretch octopus. There's a picture in one of our family albums of me on Christmas morning playing with Stretch XRay. I was just a toddler then.

The original Stretch Armstrong looked more realistic and not as cartoony as the newer one that came out in the 90s.

I so remember that! my brother got mad at me once for ripping the dog apart (accidentally) and having all that gel stuff come out. I wish they still had those. I am easily entertained and love things like that.

Can you give me some info on the 90's revamp about anyone other than the dog or Armstrong himself? I kept looking all over the internet for that, but never could find it.

I remember those. My friend had the dog, and I got him to cut him open because I was curious of what was inside. lol.

The only time I ever saw the '70s Stretch Armstrong was in the comic book ads of older issues I had in my collection. Never did have the doll in the '80s.

I was born in the mid 70s and had one when I was very little. I had Stretch, a blue octopus, and a pink octopus. I also had a green humanoid creature of the same size as Stretch himself; I'm not sure what his name was. After a number of years the rubber coating went brittle and he snapped apart while I was playing with him. The inner gel was interesting to play with though.

The green humanoid was probably Stretch Monster.

I had a Fetch Armstrong, which came with a disc shooter that strapped onto its back.

I used to bite into the dog, cos it looked so appetising. And it was cool to see how long it took for the teeth marks to disappear.
