I was wondering if anybody has the opening from The Peoples Court, and not that new crap either, I'm talking Judge Joseph Wapner is presiding. I remember watching that as a kid, and I loved when they would hit the typewriter effect when the Plantiffs and Defendants names were on screen.

Does anyone remember that commercial they used to have for the Peoples Court?

    WAPNER...JUDGE WAPNER

    It was hilarious!

The current judge of Merylan Milian on People's Court is definately the next "Judge Judy"... She's got some sympathy, she's hot & latino, but you tick her off the wrong way, and she's all over your ass!

The previous incarnations of People's Court were just plain bad... especially "Judge" Ed Kotch and even Judge Judy's husband. They didn't last long & weren't all that great.

...however, I can barely remember Wapner's style but I thought the whole theme when the litigants walk through is very similar to the old style... the only thing different is a jazzed up opening theme.

A friend of mine back in college went out with Doug Llewelynn's daughter. He said it was great- they'd get a buncha friends together and go out to a club and she would just put the entire night down on Doug's Platinum card.

They still do the typewriter thing on current episodes, don't they?

Yes they do. I miss the old People's Court though. I hope someday reruns will get picked up by Court TV or something.
