Do you have any special Mr. Rogers moments to share? First, I must say that the puppets scared the crap out of me so they are not included in my fond memories of the show. The best parts of Mr. Rogers were:

-Videos of him going to factories to see how things are made
-Feeding the fish
-Singing songs

There was one episode in particular that is stuck in my mind...Its kind of portrayed like a play where the people from the land of make-believe play other characters. One of the puppets plays that he wants to know his grandfather. Long story short, he finds his grandfather and he and his parents sing a song that is absolutely addictive. It goes something like "When the night time turns to day and (something, something) I think of you, I think of you" Its really awesome. I wish there would be some clips from Mr. Rogers on the site...

My favorite Mr. Rogers moment is actually Eddie Murphy's SNL parody doing Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood!
As for the actual Mr. Rogers show, I remember thinking this guy was not right. Even then I realized he was a freak.

I was on Vacation and I saw an episode of Mr. Rogers talking about potty training. Well the mention of B.M.'s and making your paren't so happy has scared me for life.

I cant really remember particular episodes very well, but his same routine every episode amused me. Singing "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood..." and changing his jacket and shoes for reasons I still can't understand. Then the trolley that went to the Neighborhood of Make Believe, I still remember the characters. Oh, and that stoplight he had in his kitchen.
          WHAT?

I realy don't understand how people can hate Mr. Rogers. He was a Christian man and it came through on his show. He was all about teaching good values and having a good, clean show. I think people just like to be mean because he is an easy target. :(

                  Trolley ruled!
Feeding the fish and when he went to different places to see how thingsd worked were my favorites.

All I really remember is him changing his red sweater and singing "its a beautiful day in the neighbourhood". I didn't like him that much - he was boring, but I guess I watched the show sometimes. I much prefered Mr. Dress-Up.

Everything about that show is my favorite except when they would dedicate a whole show to an opera. Loved the Trolley. I even ordered a toy trolley. I've still got it on my shelf. Yeah, 16 year old with a Mr. Rogers toy. :?

I remember the Neighborhood of Make-Believe and its inhabitants, Chef Brockett and his raspy voice, Mr. McFeely, the trolley, the Mr. Rogers opera episode, Mr. Rogers feeding his fish every episode, the Picture-Picture and the videos that he would play about how people made things (usually it was that), when he went behind-the-scenes of the show and showing us the model town, when he went to the bowling alley (and even showed us the pin-setting machines! It was really cool when I was young!), when he guest-starred on Arthur, the episode that had a lady doing origami, the episode guest-starring Yo-Yo Ma (the cello player), the episode where Mr. Rogers had no water to his house, his visit to the Little Tykes toy factory, and many more.

I don't hate Mr. Rodgers. Just the operas. I loved the Neighborhood of Make believe segments. I liked that part better than the part with Mr. Rodgers actually in it.

Yes! I remember almost everything including the Picture-Picture with the videos.

don't hate the operas. some of them were kind of cute. like the one called All in the Laundry or that one with the warm pussycat. I can't truly remember most of them. curse time for it is catching up to me.

Do you remember the epsiode that was a musical with different characters taking a trolley ride while the one puppet looked for his grandfather?

I remember the episode he had to get his umbrella fixed, if I remember right, or was it his camera? Twas long long ago.

There was the episode that was really funny, where he was talking about how you can't fall down/be-sucked-down the drain of the toilet or the bathtub.

Feeding the fish, no other fishtank compared to that tank.

And that wacky "good feeling" song, with the really goofey time signature and note timing, that one always made me laugh, because it worked, yet sounded funny as heck to me.
