My sister and brother had one...I played with it more than they did...I also bought one for my kid a few years back...she played with it once or twice...i guess it doesn't have the same appeal to kids these days, but I thought it was cool as hell...

I had one too. They were so much fun. I sometimes used the red pegs when I played with my Barbies. I pretended they were tubes of lipstick. :)

I think I liked the commercial more than the actual toy

OH YEAH! Itotally remember this! I had a "lite-Brite" when I was a child. I can't believe it's considered "retro" now!! I remember playing with this like it was yesterday!

I always fiddled with it myself, I never became good at it. But yeah, that was a real popular toy in its heyday. I wonder what's happened to it?

I had a Lite Brite, but I lost all the pieces to it shortly after I got it. I kind of miss that toy.

I remember Lite Brite, never knew how to use them, though.

did you have the black paper with the marks that tell you where to put what color pegs?

if you didn't have some kind of dark paper covering the screen before you start putting the pegs in it wouldn't work.
